   In the event of a citywide pandemic quarantine, this course will provide healthcare professionals with the necessary tools for proper emergency response, organization, and prevention within their own private practices. Participants will come to understand the quarantine and decontamination procedure, what a bacterial and viral outbreak means for their own safety and the safety of their clients/patients, and how establishing an operational plan will ensure their own clinic/practice safe containment from contamination. This course will give an easy explanation as to why the population is vulnerable to outbreaks such as swine flu, smallpox, SARS, avian flu, and pulmonary plague.

2. Introduction to Russian Asian Integrated (RAI) Therapy

   RAI Therapy is the perfect alternative means in which to accelerate the rehabilitation process, eliminate pain, or prolong remission in regards to various back injuries, chronic disorders like chronic fatigue syndrome and bronchial asthma, or complex diseases such as multiple sclerosis and peripheral vascular disease. Using a combination of Russian medical, Chinese Line Accupressure, and segmental myovisceral (muscle/organ) massage, where stimulation of the body's nervous and endocrine systems will initiate physiological changes within tissues, systems, and organs, students will focus primarily on the rehabilitation of spinal injuries.

3. Advanced Russian Asian Integrated (RAI) Therapy

   Students will learn to utilize combinations of Russian Medical Massage, Segmental Myovisceral Massage, and Chinese Line Massage using specific sequences to stimulate release of bio-enzymes within systems and organs. These integrated modalities will rehabilitate chronic disorders and certain diseases. For example, patients with peripheral vascular disease (PVD) would receive a sequence of Russian Medical Massage (for cardio-vascular stimulation and anti-spastic effects), Segmental Myovisceral Massage (for lumbar-sacral zonal stimulation of sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems), and Chinese Line Massage (for balance of energy and increase of ROM in joints). By the end of this class students will know how to deliver effective therapy for various spinal cord trauma and injuries, peripheral vascular disease, and arthritis and joint trauma injuries.

4. Fundamentals of Segmental Myovisceral Massage

   Like a mirror reflects our image, skin and subcutaneous tissue will reflect internal organ and system imbalances and pathologies. This course will provide students with the fundamental knowledge on how to balance the autonomic nervous system in connection with the different dermatoms and myotoms of the body. Hands-on training will provide therapists with the healing tools to treat painful back and joint injuries. In this class students will be able to demonstrate the principles of the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems, perform soft tissue manipulations to stimulate or suppress nerve impulses during therapeutic applications, and perform basic segmental massage techniques for back pain relief, spinal injuries and large joint trauma.

   By producing an internal balance between targeted organs and systems, Segmental Myovisceral Massage is able to deliver a powerful therapeutic relief and overall body balance for numerous dysfunctional and pathological conditions. This class will specifically target spinal chord injuries, arthritis, joint trauma, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, emphysema, asthma, painful menstrual cycles, and menopausal disorders. Along with learning indications and contraindications of segmental massage, students will learn, hands-on, how to stabilize the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems (by the releasing of specific body chemicals like ACh, histamine, epinephrine, NE, dopamine, or serotonin).

   Traditional Russian Sport Massage is a successful therapeutic treatment that focuses on athletes in conjunction with their specific sport. Treatment is administered, either pre or post an event, to enhance performance and recovery for sore muscles, tissue inflammation, tendon tension, poor circulation, and fatigue. Students will learn, hands-on, how to combine Active Counter-tension massage (tightened muscle work) with Russian sports massage (techniques that help decrease the levels of lactic acid which accumulates when muscles are stressed) so that the athlete is able to perform at the peak of their game.

   This course provides students with advanced training for athletic trauma and injuries using Russian Rehabilitation Sport Massage, or Massotherapy, modalities. Russian Massotherapy works to reduce the heart rate, relax muscles, lower blood pressure, improve blood circulation, repair the lymphatic system, and increase endorphins so that injured muscles, tendons, joints, and bones are able to repair properly. Students will learn specific techniques (including Manakov massage) to treat muscle convulsions, acute muscle spasms, acute myositis, muscle tears, joint concussion, tendinitis, arthritis, platypodia, and bone fractures.
